The Nakiri knife from the Zwilling Gourmet knife series is a traditional vegetable knife in Japan. In German, this term means "leaf cutter". It is quite precise, as the knife cuts so finely that vegetables can be cooked very thinly.
The ZWILLING Gourmet Nakiri knife is also suitable for peeling, dividing or finely chopping any type of vegetable into julienne strips or Brunoise cubes. With its extra sharp, symmetrical wide blade, it is also suitable for chopping herbs and even cutting meat or fish into millimetre-thin strips.
The specially hardened 17 cm blade is precision forged from nine-piece steel and hardened in a special process. This makes the blade flexible and resistant to corrosion.
The ergonomically shaped handle, made of easy-care plastic, ensures safe use. The knife's heavy weight is ideal for beginners to quickly master professional swinging cuts for chopping food. The Nakiri knife is versatile, but should not be used for cutting meat or fish bones.
