Patisse Carat is one of Patisse's highest-level series, positioned as "restaurant quality" equipment for home use. It is more durable than the Silver-Top series and differs from the Premium series in the technology used – a non-stick coating versus enamel.

Material

• Made from aluminized steel (approx. 0.8 mm thick), ensuring excellent and even heat distribution.

Coating

• Uses a two-layer Whitford QuanTanium non-stick coating, reinforced with titanium particles. This makes the surface extremely resistant to scratches and wear.

Temperature Resistance

• Safe to use up to 260°C.

Dimensions

• External dimensions are approximately 40 x 28 cm, depth about 6.5 cm.

• Healthier cooking: Thanks to the removable rack, meat (e.g., chicken, steak, or ribs) doesn't sit in its own fat, so it's grilled rather than boiled in fat.
• Versatility: Without the rack, the pan is ideal for lasagnas, casseroles, or large portions of vegetables.

Best Care for Carat Series Pans

• Hand washing is the best choice: Although Patisse may claim that the pan is dishwasher safe, in the long run, aggressive dishwasher detergents and high heat can gradually degrade even the most durable non-stick coating. Recommendation: Wash the pan and rack by hand using hot water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge or cloth. Do not soak: Do not leave the pan to soak in water for extended periods. This can reduce the effectiveness of the coating, and although aluminized steel is durable, prolonged soaking is not recommended.
• Avoid sharp objects: The QuanTanium coating is titanium-reinforced and very scratch-resistant (unlike cheaper coatings). However, to keep it in perfect condition, prefer silicone, wooden, or nylon utensils over cutting directly on the surface with a sharp knife.
• Proper storage: If you store multiple pans one on top of the other, place a soft paper towel or a piece of cloth between the pans to prevent metal edges from scratching the surface.
