The large granite pestle and mortar Gefu Crunchy is ideal for chopping fresh pesto or herbs. The rounded bottom ensures the perfect consistency of ingredients. Conversely, when you turn the pestle upside down, you will find a smaller cavity - with exactly the right proportions, for example, for chopping peppers.

When starting to use

To get rid of the stone dust left over from the manufacturing process inside the pestle, it is recommended to grind rice in it before using it - rub the rice for approx. 15 minutes and then leave it in the pestle for another 5 minutes - white rice absorbs all the flavors and aromas, as well as the tiny dust particles that have accumulated in the pores of the granite. After the specified time, remove the rice and thoroughly rub the inside of the pestle and mortar with a paper towel moistened with olive oil. Rinse the pestle and pestle in warm water and let them dry.
