This cast iron pot with lid, like all STAUB pots, is made of enameled cast iron and combines the advantages of cast iron cookware with the advantages of a high-quality enamel finish: it is extremely durable and provides very even heat distribution.

The special structure of the lid ensures that all moisture drains back onto the food for the best results. The tall cocotte pot is 3 cm higher than a classic pot, resulting in a 1 litre larger capacity. This means that larger quantities can be cooked on a small hob, ensuring that the entire surface of the cast iron pot is in contact with the hob, thus ensuring optimal energy efficiency .
