Patisse Carat is one of Patisse's top-of-the-line series, positioned as "restaurant-quality" equipment for home use. It is more durable than the Silver-Top series, but differs from the Premium series in the technology used - non-stick coating against enamel.
Steel baking pan PATISSE CARAT 37 x 26cm, with Whitford QuanTanium non-stick coating
Material
- Made of aluminized steel (thickness around 0.8 mm), which ensures excellent and even heat distribution.
Coating
- Uses a two-layer Whitford QuanTanium non-stick coating reinforced with titanium particles. This makes the surface extremely resistant to scratches and wear.
Temperature resistance
- Safe to use up to 260°C.
Dimensions
- The external dimensions are approximately 37 x 26 cm, depth about 6 cm.
Main advantages and uses
Thanks to its ribbed base, this pan is ideal for healthier cooking:
- For roasting meat and poultry: The grooves allow fat to drain under the product, rather than allowing the meat to "cook" in its own juices.
- For vegetable stews: Suitable for stuffed vegetables (tomatoes, eggplants), lasagna and gratins.
- For stews: The high sides of the pan (6 cm) prevent liquid from spilling out.
The best care for Carat series pans
- Hand washing is the best option: While Patisse may claim the pan is dishwasher safe, over time, the harsh detergents and high heat of a dishwasher can gradually wear down even the most durable non-stick coating. Recommendation: Hand wash the pan and rack using hot water, mild dishwashing detergent, and a soft sponge or cloth. Do not soak: Do not leave the pan in water for extended periods of time. This can reduce the effectiveness of the coating, and while aluminized steel is durable, prolonged soaking is not recommended.
- Avoid sharp objects: The QuanTanium coating is reinforced with titanium and is very scratch-resistant (unlike cheaper coatings). However, to keep it in perfect condition, prefer silicone, wooden or nylon utensils rather than cutting with a sharp knife directly on the surface.
- Proper storage: If you store several pans on top of each other, place a soft paper towel or piece of cloth between the pans to prevent the metal edges from scratching the surface.
