The PATISSE CARAT 28 cm tart/quiche pan with removable bottom, with titanium-reinforced coating, is a round tart and quiche pan with a removable bottom from the premium Patisse Carat series.

  • Type: Pie shape with wavy edges and an easily removable bottom.
  • Size: Diameter is 28 cm.
  • Material: Made of thick (0.80 mm) aluminized steel, which ensures even heat distribution.
  • Coating: Two-layer Whitford QuanTanium non-stick coating reinforced with titanium particles.
  • Durability: High resistance to scratches, wear and corrosion; heat resistance up to 260 °C.
  • Design: The mold has easy-to-grip edges that make it easy to remove from the oven.

The Patisse Carat tart/quiche pan's 28 cm diameter provides a large surface area, ideal for large family pies or savory quiches .

The approximate volume is around 1.5–1.8 liters, depending on the height of the filling. Within the series, this form is one of the most durable pie forms available , as the thick metal prevents it from deforming even at very high temperatures.

Like all high-end Patisse Carat series molds, this quiche mold should only be washed by hand . Although the titanium-reinforced coating is very durable, it will be damaged by the dishwasher.

Care sequence
  • Preparation : Allow the mold to cool completely before washing. Rapid temperature changes (such as pouring cold water on hot metal) can cause the base material to warp.
  • Detergents : Use warm water, regular dishwashing detergent, and a soft sponge or cloth.
  • Removable base : As this is a two-piece pan, remove the base after use and wash both parts separately. Pay special attention to the grooved edges, where crumbs or grease tend to collect.
  • What not to use : No metal scourers (wire scourers) – they will scratch the titanium layer. No harsh chemicals (bleach or oven cleaners).
  • Drying : After washing, immediately wipe the mold dry with a soft towel. This is important because aluminized steel, although durable, can start to oxidize at the joints if left wet for a long time.
Tip

If the pie filling is heavily burnt on the fluted edges, simply soak the pan in warm soapy water for 10-15 minutes. Thanks to the QuanTanium coating, the dirt will come off effortlessly after soaking.
